Patrick S. O'Neill first debuted as an auctioneer in 1985 at the age of 20. But his experience in the auction industry did not begin there. He was merely ten years old when his father called on him to assist in the duties associated with the family auction business. For Patrick, the love and fascination of auctioneering was born and nurtured in those early years.
Patrick worked with the family farming and auction business for over a decade. Then he ventured out on his own, aligning his talents with C.G. Sloan & Co., a DC area antiques auction gallery. For 5 years he performed auctions there and in Miami, a valuable learning experience. From there he worked as auctioneer for a number of auction companies on a freelance basis, which allowed him the flexibility of managing a variety of projects including the estate of Clark Clifford, counsel to Presidents Truman, Kennedy, Johnson and Carter. Currently, he is conducting estate and consignment auctions on his family farm in Forest Hill, MD and the surrounding Baltimore area. In addition, he is the auctioneer for the Potomack Auction Company in Alexandria, Va.
In the over 25 years of experience, Patrick has developed a reputation as an expert event coordinator and auctioneer for non-profit organizations as well. He has developed an annual repertoire of charitable events for a variety of organizations and private schools that rely on his expertise. He has become recognized as one of the best auctioneers in the region committed to the financial success of his clients.
